Ramuel Martinez, PLCI
Instructor, Certified Spanish Interpreter
Born Ramuel Martinez in Mexico City. Since he was born his mother spoke to him in English rather that in Spanish and learned both languages at the same time. Moved to Chicago, IL at the age of 6 for 2 years. At the age of 20 he traveled to Europe where he lived for a short period of time traveling extensively through out several countries. Moved to Atlanta, GA in 1996 to pursue a culinary career. He enrolled in 1997 at the Art Institute of Atlanta and graduate in 1999 with honors with a degree in Culinary Arts.
While working in a fine dinning restaurant in 1997, he started attending a local court and offering interpreting services voluntarily for several years. In 2002 started certification program with the Commission on Interpreters and got state certified in 2005. Since starting his certification, he started working with Professional Linguistics.
Ramuel has had experience in a variety of cases and circumstances from Federal, Superior, State and Municipal Courts. Including high profile cases that include murders, rapes, drug trafficking and child molestation cases.
He is married and has 4 children and even though he does not work in the Culinary field anymore he enjoys dinning out and trying different foods among other hobbies. He also owns and runs a separate business not related with interpreting.
