Professional Linguistics Licensed Interpreter (PLLI)

The PLLI license indicates the bearer has demonstrated knowledge of interpretation ethics, standards, and industry accepted procedures in professional interpreting situations.
With your new PLLI - Medical, you'll be ready to interpret for medical situations and meet all requirements.
Requirements:
- Adherence and annual commitment to the Professional Linguistics Courtroom Interpreter Code of Ethics
- Must be able to speak, read, write in at least 2 languages with native or near native performance
- Successful completion of the Licensed Interpreter & Translator class either online or in person
- Achieve a passing score on the online PLLI Exam
- Must annually pass a criminal background check and provide documentation
- Annually provide documentation of at least 1 interpretation or translation assignment per year

Exam requirements:
- Online examination - must be taken within two weeks after class completion.
- Multiple choice questions, approximately 20 questions directly related to course work
- Notes may be referenced as required.
- Test will be timed and must be completed within 90 minutes or forfeit remaining questions.
